There are very few rules, but they are important and will be enforced where your safety is involved. Our decision is final. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment all teams will be required to agree to the full Terms and Conditions of entry to each event which will be made available electronically or given out at the pre-start registration get together.
No Racing.
The Screwball Rally is not a race, there are no prizes or recognition for being the first to a days destination.
Charity.
Each team is asked to raise a minimum of £250 for a charity of their choice. We will not collect and distribute any charity money.
No Bumping.
The Screwball Rally is not a banger race, and you may not care what happens to your car but other people will. Many teams use their cars year after year or as a second car at home, they do not want some fool damaging it for them.
Cars.
Your vehicles must be a car or commercial vehicle with a minimum of 2 seats, motorcycles are not allowed. Cars should have a value of no more than £1000 or fit with the spirit of the event. Once you have bought your vehicle, you can spend whatever you want to get it back on the road or ready for the rally. All vehicles must be roadworthy and fit for the whole duration of the rally and meet the traffic regulations in the countries we visit, this is your responsibility, there is plenty of information online with websites like the AA a good place to start.
Driving.
You must make sure that you are safe, fit and legal to drive in this event, this is a long distance driving event and should not be undertaken lightly.
Breathalyser.
Each morning when we are in mainland Europe your driver will have to take a breath test before you are given the days destination details. You will not be given the days route card until under the local limit. This is for your safety.
No Being A Dick.
Don't be a dick, it doesn't suit you, no one likes it. We do not accept any form or racism or sexism. Anyone being anti social will be kicked off the rally.
