Hi,
Thank you for your deposit and welcome to the Screwball Rally.
We don't send much out throughout the year but as the rally gets closer we will send out info about the ferry booking and where to meet up.
There is nothing more to do now, except to think up ideas for your car and any places you want to visit on the route, it not a race so do a bit of sightseeing. .
If you are on facebook we have a page and a group

You can use a vehicle up to the value of £1000 or a vehicle that fits in with the event that is valued at more. Once you have bought your car you can customise it any way you want and up to any cost.
There will also be the cost of a ferry, unless you have an amphibious car. The ferry will cost around £160 for your car and up to 5 passengers.
Think about what mpg your car will return, Jag / 7 series that does 15 to a gallon or a Corsa diesel that does 60+?
There are many different options when travelling through Europe, the are multiple chain restaurants like you would see at home as well as more local offerings. All the campsites we stop at have a cafe / restaurant on or very close to the site. As we are you have the option to stop at the supermarket and cook / BBQ for yourself.
There are unfortunately tolls / Vignettes on some foreign motorways. These can be avoided by taking the longer / slower scenic route.
Some countries require you to buy a type of road tax to use their roads called a Vignette, the fines are quite high and you will be sticking out from the crowd in your dayglo tutu. Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Some larger cities in Europe have LEZ low emmission zone swhich limit where certain vehicles can go. Check before you travel if you intend to go into any cities.
Camp sites will be provided, so take a tent, gas stove, other camping type stuff and a sleeping bag, or forget all that and sleep in the car.
The total mileage 1390 (ish) on the most direct route, avoiding the toll roads is about the same distance but takes much longer. The destinations are subject to some alteration if the camping facilities do not match our standards when we visit in the summer.
